OneOf, the green Web3 company for legendary musicians, sports, and brands, has secured over $8 million in a strategic round to accelerate the development of its ecologically friendly NFT marketplace and support its expansion.
Amex Ventures, Mirabaud Lifestyle Impact and Innovation Fund, Snow Hill Ventures, Sangha Capital, Chain Link Crypto Fund, and other investors lead the new round of funding.
Among its upcoming initiatives, OneOf will launch a set of NFTs available to American Express Card Members during an American Express event. From July 29 until August 21, American Express will hold an exclusive pop-up event inspired by color theory and therapy for its Card Members: The American Express Summer in Color Oasis, at Lucca Beach inside the Mandarin Oriental in Bodrum, Turkey.
The OneOf activation will run for three weeks, free of charge. American Express Card Members taking part in the experience will receive a complimentary NFT collectible designed by Turkish artist Selay Karasu. Her works have previously been displayed at Burning Man, MOMA NYC (Museum of Modern Art), Art Basel, and the CERN Particle Physics Laboratory.
Lin Dai, a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur, launched OneOf in 2021. The company’s COO is Joshua James, who has a history in digital media, and its CSO is Adam Fell, who has worked in the music industry for many years. Many celebrities, athletes, brands, and music companies have partnered with OneOf to develop green and sustainable NFTs for non-crypto native fans, including Doja Cat, The Notorious B.I.G., Wayne Gretzky, Muhammad Ali, the Grammys, Warner Music Group, iHeart Media, Duke Basketball, Sports Illustrated, Anheuser-Busch, and Gatorade.
