Toy line and media franchise My Little Pony has filed a trademark application to join the metaverse and the non-fungible token (NFT) space.
According to the application, submitted to the USPTO on August 3, the company plans to offer:
- Virtual goods, namely animated characters and accessories for use online and in virtual worlds;
- NFTs;
- Downloadable digital collectibles, digital tokens, digital files.
The news was shared earlier today via Twitter by metaverse trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

The number of the metaverse and NFT-related trademark applications submitted daily is increasing. New and traditional companies alike are hopping on board to avoid being left behind and to gain a new market share that will allow them to provide new and more innovative experiences.
