Lamborghini’s eight-month NFT journey is coming to an end, but the company has more to reveal: as it approaches its 60th anniversary, it unveiled a unique collectible to commemorate its history and the latest drop of this Web3 adventure.
Epic Road Trip holders who own two or more NFTs from the first to eighth drops will be airdropped a 60th anniversary NFT dubbed “The Future Bagan in 1963.” Those attending in-person anniversary celebrations will also be able to get the commemorative NFT by scanning a QR code.
Holders of the 60th anniversary NFT will have token-gated access to an exclusive Q&A session with a Lamborghini top executive addressing the company’s past, present, and future.
Epic Road Trip’s latest drop – Drop 8 – will happen March 20 through 23, with three limited edition NFTs being released daily during the three-day period. There will be a limited number of 1,963 NFTs available for $196.30 each. The fourth and rarest NFT will be available for sale at $1,963 each and limited to 63 units.
Although this marks the end of the campaign — which saw the release of four NFTs each month for the last eight months, each available for 24 hours only — it also demonstrates Lamborghini’s commitment to Web3 and its ambition to embrace this new technology.
After all, this isn’t the luxury automaker’s first step into Web3; in January 2022, the company revealed its first NFT project, “Space Time Memory.”
Since then, Lamborghini has been using NFTs in a variety of efforts, such as linking them to physical products, as it did when it auctioned off the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae alongside a rare 1:1 NFT.
More recently, the company announced a partnership with VeVe to bring some of its most popular sports cars to the NFT space, starting with the Huracán STO.
