Fashion brand Lacoste continues its venture into the Web3 space with the unveiling of a new virtual store that seamlessly integrates non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Developed in partnership with Web3 studio Emperia, the summer virtual store showcases Lacoste’s latest real-life summer collection, offering users the opportunity to buy items directly from the virtual environment. The experience also allows users to engage in a crocodile-themed scavenger hunt game with the chance to win prizes.
For holders of Lacoste’s UNDW3 tokens, the experience becomes even more exclusive. Upon email login or connecting a digital wallet containing the UNDW3 token, they can gain access to a VIP space.
This VIP zone features an exclusive UNDW3 apparel collection, co-created in March by members of Lacoste’s UNDW3 community. Each physical garment in this collection is paired with its own digital twin, represented as an NFT. Moreover, holders can join a loyalty program, receive weekly prizes and enjoy an augmented reality (AR) experience by scanning a QR code linked to their purchased NFT.
Notably, this marks the second collaborative effort between Lacoste and Emperia. The first virtual store, introduced in November 2022, came shortly after Lacoste unveiled its innovative UNDW3 Web3 experience.
The UNDW3 initiative was launched with the aim of fostering a vibrant community that could embark on an immersive journey of collaborative fashion. The program debuted alongside the release of a new NFT collection that further enriched the brand’s Web3 presence.
In a recent extension of its Web3 project, Lacoste enabled NFT cardholders to connect their wallets and immerse themselves in quests, interactive experiences with the brand, and exclusive perks.
