Alessandro Del Piero, the former Italian football legend, has just announced his entry into the metaverse, marking another milestone in his Web3 journey.
Teaming up with The Nemesis, a Swiss entertainment platform, and the communication agency Webpills, Del Piero has introduced “ADP10,” a virtual space designed to immerse fans in his football legacy.
The virtual environment blends the world of football with the latest technology. Within it, visitors can engage in football-themed minigames and explore Del Piero’s trophies and memorabilia — each item carrying the unique stories of the challenges and triumphs that defined his career.
The ADP10 virtual space also offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, featuring Del Piero’s exclusive eyewear brand, AirDP Style. With interactive corners linking directly to products, fans can purchase his eyewear collection in the metaverse.
This isn’t Del Piero’s first venture into the Web3 universe. Back in 2021, he made waves with the “Return of Legends S2” non-fungible token (NFT) game cards, a collaboration with Binance. This series included tokens representing Alessandro Del Piero, Christian Vieri, and Gabriel Batistuta.
Del Piero’s move into the metaverse follows the recent trend of footballers exploring the Web3 space. Just last week, Cristiano Ronaldo introduced his third non-fungible token (NFT) collection, “ForeverZone,” in partnership with Binance. This collection is dedicated to preserving and honoring the legacy of the football superstar.
