The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s most influential technology event, is returning to Las Vegas on January 5-8, 2023.
This year’s program, which presents the most innovative technologies to address daily challenges, will also cover new topics such as Web3, NFTs, and the metaverse.
According to a recent press release, CES 2023 will have a dedicated metaverse hall where exhibitors will present cutting-edge digital technologies for virtual worlds.
The Web3 Studio established by CoinDesk and placed in the LVCC’s Central Hall will be the focal point of the CES Web3 area. CoinDesk will host a debate with industry professionals and visionaries about the most significant breakthroughs in industries and technologies.
The topics will center on the metaverse and its potential to transform the retail industry and consumer experience, as well as the investments, apps, and content that surround it.
Magic Leap, Microsoft, OVR Technology, and SK are among the most influential brands exhibiting in the Web3 space at CES.
Speakers include Jason Waskey, Microsoft’s principal creative director, Leslie Shannon, Nokia’s head of technology trend scouting, Dade Orgeron, Shutterstock’s VP of 3D innovation, and more.
LG will also partake in the Web3 arena, presenting some of its most innovative products, such as smart shoe shelves – LG’s Styler ShoeCase and ShoeCare – with NFT shoe pairs to decorate them.
Since 1967, CES has been known for showcasing the most notable innovations, fostering networking opportunities, and providing a glimpse into what the present and future of technology may bring.
The previous year has seen Web3 raise its voice, and CES 2023 has heard it. As a result, it has included Web3 in its exhibitions, with a space that is anticipated to grow for future editions.
