Animoca Brands Japan, a subsidiary of Animoca Brand, has unveiled a partnership with automotive giant Honda to release non-fungible tokens (NFTs) during the upcoming Formula 1 Honda & Red Bull Welcome Event in Tokyo.
The collaboration also features the participation of crypto wallet Gryfyn and the decentralized ticketing solution, GET Protocol.
The aim of this partnership is to offer fans and participants a unique experience through membership NFTs and exclusive limited-edition commemorative NFTs.
Referred to as “Honda KEY NFTs,” these digital collectibles will grant holders access to a series of perks and exclusive experiences at future Honda-sponsored events.
Attendees will have the opportunity to secure these exclusive digital assets by participating in a lottery system designed to distribute NFTs to lucky winners who purchased tickets for the event.
Furthermore, all event attendees will receive a commemorative NFT, which will be airdropped to ticket-holders once the event concludes.
The Gryfyn wallet will host the Honda KEY NFTs, while GET Protocol will play a pivotal role in assisting Honda in launching its distinctive commemorative NFT.
This collaboration between Honda and Animoca Brands builds upon their partnership in July, which aimed to revolutionize motorsports engagement through blockchain technology.
In the rapidly evolving landscape of Formula 1 events, notable partnerships have been forming to integrate NFTs and blockchain technology.
Just last month, Kraken announced its partnership with the Formula One team Williams Racing, promising to showcase NFT artworks on Formula 1 cars during the upcoming 2023 U.S. Grand Prix. Additionally, in May, Platinium Group introduced NFT race tickets for Formula 1 events, starting with the iconic Monaco Grand Prix.
