Y00ts, the popular non-fungible token (NFT) collection initially hosted on the Solana blockchain, has unveiled its strategic decision to shift from Polygon to Ethereum.
The announcement coincides with the upcoming launch of DeGods’ much-anticipated “Season 3” content. Shared via the project’s official Twitter account, this move aims to foster a cohesive environment between the Y00ts and DeGods communities. DeGods, an NFT collection originally birthed on the Solana blockchain, transitioned to the Polygon blockchain prior to its eventual migration to Ethereum in April.
According to the tweet, the exact date of the migration will be communicated shortly, with the project committing to the full restitution of the Polygon grant, a substantial sum of $3 million, which was instrumental in facilitating the initial migration process. Y00ts has outlined that these returned funds will be re-employed for the expansion of the NFT ecosystem, thereby offering enhanced support to creators and innovators.
Unveiled in 2022, Y00ts emerged as a pioneering generative digital art project including approximately 15,000 unique NFTs.
Y00ts currently claims the eleventh position among the highest-ranking all-time NFT collections, while DeGods secures the second spot, as per CoinMarketCap data.
