Web3 and the metaverse, in general, are becoming more and more important, so much that they are becoming topics worth learning about and being ready for the coming generations.
This is a vision shared by the Todai University of Tokyo, which wants to position itself as a source of new technologies and prepare students for the future.
The University of Tokyo has announced its plans to offer metaverse courses designed for students at all levels, including junior high school students and those already in the workplace.
As a result, new educational programs will be offered via Todai metaverse, an online virtual-reality space that will become the key digital environment for imparting information.
The courses will cover areas such as artificial intelligence, entrepreneurial education, and next-generation communication technology, and certificates will be issued upon completion.
By taking part in these educational programs, students will gain an understanding of engineering and information science fields as well as information about viable careers.
The Todai metaverse will make it possible for students at other universities to explore possible engineering careers as well.
According to some university officials, a metaverse-based educational system would enable students to study engineering and information science regardless of their age, gender, social standing, or area of residence.
