The Sandbox today announced a collaboration with TIMEPieces, TIME’s NFT community effort, to create ‘TIME Square,’ TIME’s first-ever metaverse place.
TIME Square, inspired by the aesthetic essence and vitality of New York City’s historic neighborhood, will be erected on TIME’s land in The Sandbox as a place for gathering art and commerce.
TIME President Keith A. Grossman announced the collaboration at NFT.NYCnyc’s The Sandbox event, as well as an open call for architects to design TIME Square, reinventing the world-renowned cultural hub for the metaverse.
TIMEPieces is looking for a visionary architect to recreate and rethink the destination as a voxel production through its dynamic community and metaverse fans globally.
TIME Square will be an inclusive setting that will give TIMEPieces holders a one-of-a-kind experience. The TIMEPieces community will benefit from virtual access to debates, events, screenings of TIME Studios productions, and educational experiences.
