Luckmon CEO David Son has announced a collaboration with Morrowbogi CEO Song Myeong-Seok and Chamsori Gramophone Museum and Edison Science Museum Director Son Seong-Mok to establish a unique NFT initiative that will include physical ownership of a historical innovation by American Icon Thomas Edison.
Through this partnership, the Edison NFT project, named “Chamsori Edison NFT“, a project with a grand total of 1,000 real physical Edison inventions with NFT and minting on NFT marketplaces such as Opensea, will be launched.
The true Edison innovations include the first light bulb, an Edison Corporation stock certificate, and a phonograph. In addition, based on Edison’s creation, AI will be used to recover Edison’s voice, and Edison’s description of each item will be generated and implemented.
Thomas Edison is widely regarded as one of history’s most famous and prolific innovators. His innovations have transformed the contemporary world, from the power we use to the communication system and the pleasure we’ve had thanks to his contributions to sound recording and motion-picture cameras. Edison’s most renowned creation was the lightbulb design, and now there is a chance to own a piece of history and transfer it to the metaverse.
In South Korea, the Chamsori Gramophone Museum and Edison Science Museum house the most complete collection of Thomas Edison innovations. Son Seong-Mok spent 65 years amassing his collection through auctions, direct sales, and harrowing personal dealings in 60 countries. Director Son is the most avid private collector of Thomas Editions. Son claims to have 5,000 gramophones, 150,000 music albums, and 5,000 Edison innovations including the lamp, phonograph, and electric car (over 100 years before Tesla).
“Over the last 65 years, Director Son Seong-Mok has painstakingly collected an outstanding and significant collection from the famous investor, Thomas Edison, over the span of 60 countries. We shared the same vision and goal with Director Son to use emerging blockchain technology like NFT to promote the educational and historical importance of Thomas Edison and his contributions to the world we all live in.” said David Son, Luckmon CEO.
