Yuga Labs, the firm behind some of the most famous NFT collections, such as BAYC, has released details about the Second Trip in its Otherside metaverse.
The Second Trip, which took place on March 25, included the participation of Otherdeed holders under the leadership of various team captains. The hour-and-a-half-long experience engaged gamers in the exploration of new environments in the Otherside metaverse via competitive gameplay.
One of the results that stands out is the number of concurrent users that participated in the adventure: a record-breaking of 7,214.
The number of concurrent users was not the only accomplishment: the gamified experience boasted over 320,000 aerial stunts and incredible player interactivity: participants used their mics over 80,000 times.
These statistics suggest the project’s success as well as the community’s growing interest in the metaverse: the First Trip, which took place in July 2022, drew over 4,300 participants, implying that around 3,000 more joined for the Second Trip.
Yuga Labs expanded its offerings in response to increased community engagement; last month, it unveiled “Legends of the Mara,” an experience that will enhance its Otherside project, and a few days later announced a collaboration with Gucci, unveiling KodaPendant, a pendant that will be available both digitally as NFT and physically.
