As part of its move toward Web3, Prada has announced a new NFT drop. The release is part of its Timecapsule NFT initiative, which entails the release of a new NFT drop on the first Thursday of each month.
Prada Timecapsule’s 34th drop, releasing today, October 6, at 3 pm CEST, is a limited-edition bowling shirt crafted from a blend of legendary materials from the Prada archives, showcasing a tropical-inspired design with a vintage pop allure.
The new drop will be available for only 24 hours. NFT holders will have access to both the limited edition physical product and a gifted NFT.
Timecapsule is not Prada’s first effort in the NFT space. In January, the company collaborated with Adidas to release the “Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon Collection,” which included NFTs inspired by it. Adidas and Prada also collaborated with digital artist Zach Lieberman to launch an NFT auction, “adidas for Prada re-source,” which closed at 30ETH, or more than $80,000 (at the time it was sold).
The fashion industry is delving deep into the new Web3 space. Prada, like other major fashion brands, is delving deep into it in an effort to engage younger generations, build tighter relationships with clients, and take part in the worldwide digital revolution.
