Polo Ralph Lauren is back with another Web3 initiative. This time, the world-famous American design company has teamed up with the online video game Fortnite.
The collaboration resulted in a redesigned logo for the Polo brand, specifically for Fortnite, and the launch of the new collection, which takes influence from Polo’s classic 1992 Stadium collection as well as features from auto racing and aviation uniforms, giving rise to the Polo x Llama logo.
The collection will be available in both physical and digital versions, with the latter debuting on November 6.
According to the roadmap on the dedicated web page, the partnership will continue until 2023, when the POLO P-WING BOOT, a futuristic boot inspired by ski and moto, will be released.
Because Fortnite is becoming a metaverse-like game, the collaboration appears to further integrate Ralph Lauren into Web3. Nonetheless, this is not Ralph Lauren’s first foray into this market.
Since its first foray into the metaverse on the Roblox gaming platform last December, the company has filed nine trademark applications to join the metaverse with virtual fashion shows, clothing, hotels, and more.
