The legendary basketball player Michael Jordan and his son Jeffrey Jordan have joined forces to create HEIR, an NFT platform designed to build community between athletes and their fans using emerging technology, such as web 3.
Jeffrey Jordan will lead HEIR with Daniel George, Founder of Limitless Creative Co., and Jeron Smith, co-Founder of Steph Curry’s media company, Unanimous.
The platform enables athletes and other culture creators to expand, enhance, and deepen their relationships with their fans around the world through membership-based access to digital assets and first-person drops.
“What HEIR Inc. is developing is purpose-built for a new era of athlete enterprise, opening the door for richer storytelling and deeper consumer engagement,” says Jeffrey Jordan. “The Jordan name has cultivated a loyal community for more than 35 years; the focus now is passing that legacy on to the next generation. We hope to continue to build and invest in businesses that bring that same reverence to the media and tech space.”
This platform represents the next step into the NFT sports world, following other sports figures like Stephen Curry who sold NFT sneakers and launched an NFT collection.
