Google Cloud has announced a long-term partnership with Coinbase, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange platform, to establish synergistic cooperation.
As a result of the agreement:
- Coinbase will choose Google Cloud as a strategic cloud provider to build a sophisticated exchange and data services, abandoning its previous provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Coinbase will employ Google Cloud’s powerful computational engine to analyze blockchain data at scale, as well as expand the worldwide reach of its crypto services by utilizing Google’s premium fiber-optic network.
- Coinbase will also create its global data platform on Google Cloud to empower Coinbase users with machine learning-driven crypto insights.
- Google Cloud will use Coinbase Commerce to allow customers to pay for its cloud services using specific cryptocurrencies. Plus, Google will also use Coinbase Prime for institutional cryptocurrency services such as safe custody and reporting.
This collaboration appears to offer a lot of innovation as well as a strong commitment to revolutionizing how users experience services and the benefits they may get from them. Google will step into Web3, while Coinbase will leverage Google’s advanced technology to expand its platform.
