Fidelity Charitable, a public charity founded in 1991 in the United States, has unveiled its first non-fungible tokens (NFTs) initiative.
The nation’s top grantmaker effort implies the AirDrop of an NFT collection called “Art of Generosity.”
This curated Polygon-based NFT collection includes artworks from 12 impact-minded artists, each of whom shares their own interpretation of the meaning of generosity and the various forms it may take.
Light My Fire, an artwork designed by digital artist Faith Love to represent how love, care, and attention can bring someone to life, is one of them. Other artworks in the collection include Here For You, Sun Days, Give Them Flowers, and more.
In addition, a group of 50 lucky minters will be selected at random to receive a Golden Ticket NFT, which will let them direct $1,000 in donations to eligible nonprofits of their choice through a Fidelity Charitable Giving Account.
Those interested in receiving the NFT must first pre-register for the AirDrop, which qualifies them to receive up to two NFTs. They will then need to mint the NFT during public minting, followed by the unveiling of the artwork.
Fidelity Charitable will donate $50,000 to charities as a result of the project.
In 2021, Fidelity Charitable distributed $10.3 billion to 357,000 nonprofits across the United States. This NFT initiative would assist the organization’s purpose of donating and supporting causes.
