Renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, are joining forces once again as they announce the launch of their second non-fungible token (NFT) collection.
Titled “ForeverCR7: The GOAT,” the collection comprises 29,000 NFTs that pay tribute to Ronaldo’s remarkable goal achievements and memories from his career.
Within the collection, fans will find NFTs commemorating significant goals such as #806, which made Ronaldo the all-time leading goal scorer, and #649, recognized as his personally acclaimed best goal accomplished through a bicycle kick.
The NFTs are divided into four different rarity levels: Super Super Rare (SSR), Super Rare (SR), Rare (R), and Normal (N). Six out of the seven SSR NFTs will be available for auction, with bidding prices starting at $15,000, while the seventh will be prized at a later date.
SR and R NFTs will be offered for sale on the Binance marketplace, beginning at $200 for SR and $30 for R, respectively. The Normal NFTs will be sold individually at a price of $10 each.
Based on the rarity level of the acquired NFTs, holders will gain access to exclusive benefits and privileges. These perks include Binance x CR7 posters and merchandise, a personalized message from Cristiano Ronaldo himself, and more.
The highly anticipated ForeverCR7: The GOAT NFT collection is set to be released on July 3, 2023, at 2 p.m. UTC.
Binance initially announced its partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo in June 2022, with the successful launch of their first NFT collection taking place in November of the same year. The debut collection featured a total of 6,045 NFTs, showcasing animated statues depicting memorable moments from Ronaldo’s life, ranging from iconic bicycle kicks to his early days in Portugal.
