Hershey’s, one of the world’s major chocolate manufacturers, has joined the metaverse.
The virtual experience, dubbed Herhseyverse, was developed in collaboration with LandVault, one of the largest builders in the metaverse.
Hersheyverse presents a chocolate factory building with a chocolate shop at its entrance. The first floor includes a candy elevator that takes visitors to a panoramic view where they can redeem a wearable collectible and an invitation to seek them out in all holiday-themed spots available.
As users explore the space, they can complete quests and learn about sweet holiday traditions. They can also visit virtual shops and earn exclusive rewards.
Although this is Hershey’s first foray into the metaverse, it is not the first time a chocolate company has joined Web3. Lindt USA entered the metaverse last month with a virtual store where visitors can purchase chocolate and learn about the company’s chocolate production process.
Previously, Mars submitted a trademark application for its world-famous brands M&M’s and Snickers to join the metaverse and NFT space.
