Cool Cats Group, the Web3 company behind the famous blue-chip NFT collection Cool Cats, has announced a partnership with metaverse startup Futureverse to provide holders with new experiences.
Cool Cats NFTs will use Futureverse technology to transform their 2D shape into 3D for a virtual metaspace experience.
Among the additional efforts that the two companies will develop and make available are a custom marketplace, asset personalization, AI tools, and others.
Although few specifics about the collaboration’s planned releases have been disclosed, Cool Cats has provided the community with a sneak peek. It shared a video on Twitter of the iconic blue cat being catapulted into a virtual setting, as well as a mushroom that transforms into an animated character — possibly hinting at a story-based adventure.
Released in June 2021, Cool Cats started as a collection of 9,999 blue cat characters minted on the Ethereum blockchain, each having unique attributes and tiers.
Since its release, the Cool Cats NFT collection has quickly become one of the most popular within the NFT community, with a total sales volume of $397,34M and a spot among the top 20 most popular NFT collections of all time.
