The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) announced that it would be the first bank in Australia to allow customers to buy, sell, and hold crypto assets through its app, CommBank.
In order to give this opportunity to its customers, CBA has partnered with Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange and custodian that allows customers to buy, sell, and store digital assets, and Chainalysis, a company that provides blockchain data and analysis to governments, banks, and businesses worldwide.
Thanks to a new feature added to the official app, customers will, therefore, be able to buy, sell, and store crypto.
Among the crypto assets CBA will provide access to are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin.
