American brewing company Anheuser-Busch is continuing its Web3 adventure. On November 4, the company submitted a trademark application for “CRYPTOTITANS,” indicating its forthcoming non-fungible token (NFT) plans.
According to the trademark application, the company intends to provide:
- NFTs;
- Software for receiving, accessing, and trading NFTs;
- E-wallets;
- Virtual goods.
The news was tweeted by trademark attorney Josh Gerben.
This submission comes after the corporation submitted multiple trademark applications in April, announcing its intent to enter the metaverse. Instead, it debuted its inaugural “Bud Light N3XT” NFT collection in January, with each NFT celebrating innovation, community, and the next generation of creators.
The beverage sector in general has been heavily active in Web3. The creation of NFT markets dedicated to beverages, as well as the submission of NFT and metaverse trademark applications, are solid evidence that NFTs and virtual reality may become the new normal in the not-too-distant future.
