Digital fashion marketplace DRESSX has announced the completion of its Series A round, raising $15 million.
Among the investors were Greenfield, Slow Ventures, Warner Music, The Artemis Fund, Red Dao, and others.
As a result of the fundraising, DRESSX will be able to expand its marketplace and its assets, grow its community, and form partnerships across traditional media and on Web3 with social and gaming platforms.
DRESSX was founded in 2019 and is now considered the largest digital fashion store selling 3D fashion collections from the most well-known modern brands.
Last December, the tech fashion startup announced a collaboration with Warner Music Group to allow WMG artists to use the platform to develop their own 3D digital fashion collections.
Recently, digital fashion has risen to the top of the agenda as people spend more time online and start expressing themselves digitally. In order to address this need, many big fashion brands have already launched NFTs and metaverses in the Web3 space.
Decentraland, for example, has collaborated with several fashion houses to bring Fashion Week into Web3, establishing the “Metaverse Fashion Week.” The second edition of the virtual event, which will take place in two weeks, will feature numerous big fashion brands and fashion Web3 projects, including DRESSX.
