The owner of Rollerblade, the brand of inline skates owned by Nordica, has filed a trademark application for its stylized skate logo indicating plans for entering the metaverse and embracing the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
According to the trademark application, the company aims to provide:
- NFTs;
- Virtual goods, namely, clothing, footwear, sports gear, roller skates, ice skates, and more;
- Software for avatars, skins and overlays for use in virtual online environments;
- Online virtual environment and extended reality virtual environments.
The news was tweeted earlier today by trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.
