The Ukrainian government has announced the release of a non-fungible token (NFT) to mark the history of the Russian invasion in a new use of digital assets to fund the war effort.
NFT will act as a museum dedicated to the Russian-Ukrainian War. The Ukrainian government’s intent is to tell the world about the war in an NFT format.
As reported by The Guardian, Alex Bornyakov, deputy minister of digital transformation of Ukraine on IT industry development, said every NFT would feature a piece of art representing a trustworthy news report. In his words: “We want it to be cool, good-looking, and it takes time.”
More than $60 million in cryptocurrency donations have been made to Ukraine since it launched an appeal following Russia’s invasion last month.
Bornyakov recently tweeted, “Crypto assets proved extremely helpful in facilitation of funding flows to the Amed Forces of Ukraine. […] Each and every helmet and vest bought via crypto donations is currently saving Ukrainian soilders’ lives.”

Various efforts have been made to provide assistance to Ukrainians during this difficult period. Many organizations, companies, and individuals have come together to aid and support the Ukrainian population. As an example, Crurated is launching “The All Heart Auction” to support Ukraine by selling rare wines accompanied by NFTs.
NFTs and cryptocurrencies have been proven to be an efficient means of accomplishing this, involving the big community behind them and facilitating the quick gathering and sending of funds.
