Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has partnered with the well-known non-fungible token (NFT) community surrounding Bored Ape Yacht Club and CLONE-X to develop a smartwatch that shows NFTs and links to crypto wallets like MetaMask and Ledger Live.
The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 allows users to show NFT artworks on their watch by linking their cryptocurrency wallet to ensure authenticity. This innovative experience is part of TAG Heuer’s growing digital ecosystem of applications and watch faces built by an in-house development team and carrying the brand’s characteristic design marks.
According to the manufacturer, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 would be simple to use, with NFTs sent to it through a paired smartphone. The device is configured to accept both static and animated NFT artwork, and several NFTs may be transmitted to the watch at the same time. TAG Heuer indicated that NFT artwork can be resized and put inside the watch’s three different designs.
The wristwatch will also be able to connect to the blockchain and verify the wearer’s NFT ownership.
The new Lens watch face will work across both the 45mm and 42mm models of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4—making it easier for people to show off their favorite digital possessions. People can also display images from their personal photo library, NFT collection, or from a wide range of TAG Heuer curated images.
