Coffeehouse chain Starbucks has finally unveiled its Starbucks Odyssey NFT-based loyalty program after previously announcing it in May.
The NFT stamps will have a point value based on their rarity, and members can trade stamps within the marketplace, with ownership secured on the “proof-of-stake” blockchain technology built by Polygon.
The rewards for NFT holders can range from a virtual espresso martini class to exclusive Starbucks Reserve Roasteries events and access to exclusive merchandise.
In addition to the iconic Starbucks artwork co-created with Starbucks partners, Starbucks will work with outside artists to create new stamp designs. This will be the first time Starbucks members and partners will have access to these treasured assets.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of limited-edition stamps will be donated to support causes that matter to Starbucks partners and Starbucks Rewards members.
Starting today, Sept. 12, customers and partners can join the waitlist for a chance to be among the first to receive access to the Starbucks Odyssey experience, which will launch later this year.
