Valentino Rossi, the nine-time MotoGP World Champion, has brought his passion to the metaverse with “Moto Island.”
The virtual experience, which is hosted in the Roblox metaverse, allows players to become professional riders and compete in riding competitions.
Gamers can race across towns, countryside, snow-capped peaks, oceanside highways, and forests, with up to 30 racers participating in racing in the Roblox game.
The Moto Island experience was created in collaboration with Dubit, a company founded in 1999 that creates digital game worlds and metaverse experiences for global corporations and innovative startups.
Rossi is not new to the metaverse; in May of last year, the former professional motorcycle road racer founded a company, dubbed VR46 Metaverse, committed to generating and developing unique content about the VR46 brand in the metaverse, gaming world, and NFT space.
Valentino Rossi is also familiar with NFTs; as part of his VR46 Metaverse project, he has previously launched two NFT initiatives: one involving the release of a unique helmet designed by Mad Dog Jones accompanied by its NFT pair, and the other entailing the launch of “AEROPRISM,” an NFT collection combining art, innovation, and motorsport.
