Melbourne Skydeck, an in-person observation experience from the Eureka Tower skyscraper, is going virtual.
Thanks to a collaboration with Meta (previously Facebook), people from all around the world will be able to enjoy the experience in the metaverse through a specially designed platform.
The digital experience allows visitors to learn more about Melbourne Skydeck as well as engage with it by viewing image galleries and learning more about Melbourne locations and attractions.
When finding specific 3D models within the space, such as the Eureka Tower model, guests get the chance to win prizes such as SkyPasses (worth $160), which grant unlimited admission to Melbourne Skydeck, as well as exclusive discounts on experiences, food and beverage, merchandise, and more.
The experience also includes the Voyanger Theather, a VR, 360° view experience that allows visitors to embark on a cinematic, immersive, and sensual journey across Melbourne’s festivals, events, and landscapes.
Melbourne Skydeck has been experimenting with virtual reality since last year, when it debuted its Voyager Theatre VR experience. The new metaverse platform would allow it to attract and reach a larger audience, while also evolving into a more realistic experience as VR devices and technology evolve.
