Aston Martin, an English manufacturer of luxury sports cars and grand tourers, has announced the release of its latest non-fungible token (NFT) collection.
The collection, developed in collaboration with The Tiny Digital Factory and Infinite Drive, features 3,000 NFTs inspired by the Aston Martin Vantage, Vantage GT3, and 1980 V8 Vantage car models.
Each NFT model corresponds to a distinct rarity level: legendary, rare, and epic.
NFT holders will be able to use the Polygon-based NFTs in Infinite Drive, a mobile-first NFT racing platform and car enthusiast’s metaverse, in addition to unlocking future game perks.
Each NFT costs 66 MATIC, or about $55, and will be available for purchase on Magic Eden beginning December 18 for Founders and Whitelist Mint and December 19 for public mint.
This is not Aston Martin’s first foray into the NFT world. In February, it launched its first NFT collection, AMR22, on the crypto.com NFT marketplace.
Carmakers are flocking to Web3, recognizing the possibilities this new world holds for their brand and consumers, allowing them to engage with new audiences and generations.
That is a goal that Renault, Lamborghini, Porsche, and others have already begun to pursue through the launch of various Web3-related initiatives.
