Non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace Magic Eden has released the beta version of its cross-chain wallet.
Developed in collaboration with Exodus, a leading self-custodial cryptocurrency software wallet, this marks the first integration of a wallet directly with an NFT marketplace.
The Magic Eden wallet is self-custodial, ensuring users maintain complete control over their cryptocurrencies and digital assets, with the responsibility of securing their private keys.
The Magic Eden wallet enables cryptocurrency swaps across various blockchains — including Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon.
By using the wallet, NFT collectors can seamlessly collect and trade NFTs across multiple chains. Beyond trading, they can also easily manage and track all their NFTs and collectibles across different chains and secure access to Dapps.
The beta testing phase will have limited user participation, with the browser extension set for a public launch in early 2024.
This initiative builds upon Magic Eden’s continuous efforts to enrich the NFT ecosystem and elevate the overall experience for its community.
In a recent move to enhance the trading experience, Magic Eden introduced a VIP program last month. This program offers personalized services and curation for high-value NFT collectors and sellers, adding further value to the platform.
September witnessed Magic Eden’s introduction of compressed cNFTs on the Solana blockchain, a strategic step to reduce costs for content creators and foster the creation of scalable NFT content.
Additionally, in March, the platform unveiled “Magic Eden Games,” serving as a dedicated hub for Web3 game developers to expand their communities and engage with a broader audience.
