RTFKT, the Nike-acquired Web3 studios, has announced a collaboration with RIMOWA, a high-quality luggage German brand established in 1898.
RTFKT x RIMOWA NFTs
The partnership’s goal is to bring RIMOWA into the metaverse and NFT world with the release of two NFTs: WorkerBot and RTFKTxRIMOWA “Meta Artisan” Original Cabin Luggage.
The WorkerBot NFT is an NFT avatar in the shape of a robot built by RTFKT and co-engineered with RIMOWA that holders will be able to use in the metaverse.
The RTFKTxRIMOWA “Meta Artisan” Original Cabin Luggage NFT features the RTFKT Special Limited Edition “Wandersmith” Anti-FUD pattern print and is redeemable for actual luggage at the Forging event, which will be revealed later.
The drop is scheduled for October 27. There will be 2,222 WorkerBot NFTs for sale, each priced at 0.08ETH (roughly $100), and 888 Cabin Luggage NFTs, each priced at 2.3 ETH (roughly $3,000).
A brief overview of RTFKT
RTFKT Studios, which employs the newest Web3 technology to produce one-of-a-kind sneakers and digital artifacts, has made remarkable progress within the NFT field since being bought by Nike last December, garnering over 1 million followers across social media.
It sparked interest in the NFT community with its mystery “MNLTH” NFT, which featured a metallic box containing a surprise within. It was later revealed to be a pair of digital Nike Dunk NFT sneakers nicknamed “Cryptokicks,” which came in a range of colors and designs.
A more recent release is the RTFKT x Nike AR Genesis Hoodie NFT, which features augmented reality (AR) technology that allows both Clone X avatars and real-life holders to wear it, as well as an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip that allows wireless connectivity between the hoodie and the digital asset.
