Lamya, a jewelry company that assists artisans in becoming more digital and showcasing their stunning jewelry online, has unveiled a new effort involving non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the metaverse.
Lamya, which manufactures in-house unique jewelry from selected craftsmen, is now providing its clients a new option: they can request an NFT of their handmade jewelry alongside the physical one, or just get the digital version.
Using the NFT version of the jewelry, purchasers will be able to wear it virtually through an avatar in the metaverse.
Furthermore, designing an NFT as a collectible allows the customer to attach images and videos to it and save them as memories, and the jewelry NFT might possibly be passed down for generations.
Lamya will generate a digital 3D model of the specified jewelry that can be utilized as a collectible or wearable item upon request and send the fully digitalized item ready to collect or wear in the metaverse.
This initiative and more are transforming artisanal jewelry into something that can be kept for generations and can pass down without deterioration.
