Doritos, a flavored corn tortilla chip snack brand, has announced its debut in the Decentraland metaverse with “Doritos Triangle Studios.”
From February 8th to February 10th, Dorito’s virtual world will feature three days of giveaways in which guests can create custom music beats and play minigames to win prizes worth a total of $25,000.
Among the prizes will be a chance to win one of two unique gaming PCs, as well as NFTs — a CloneX #12118 by RTFKT and Takashi Murakami, or a Meebits #54 by Larva Labs — minted on the Polygon blockchain.
The experience will also allow guests to customize their avatars and will include eight free-to-claim limited-edition wearables: Nacho headsets; ChipChain (a necklace with earrings); and Soarin’ SizzleSuit (an orange and red jumpsuit that allows the avatar to fly within the metaverse), with more to be revealed on February 8th.
The Doritos Triangle Studios metaverse venue will open its doors on Wednesday, February 8 at 9:00 a.m. ET and visitors will be able to take part as guests or by linking their crypto wallets.
