Over the past few days, Donald Trump teased the Truth Social community with a forthcoming “major announcement,” which today turned out to be a non-fungible token (NFT) collection.
The collection includes NFT trading cards with images of the former US president in various settings, which he described as being small snapshots of his life and career.
Examples include Donald Trump dressed as an astronaut, golfer, trader, cowboy, Superman, and more, presumably to emphasize his “excellent fit for any situation.”
According to the descriptions on the dedicated website, each NFT, which costs $99, has a distinct, rare attribute, with some being one-of-a-kind and others restricted to 2 to 10 copies.
Purchasing these NFTs will qualify holders for a chance to win thousands of prizes and meet the President in person or through a Zoom call. Furthermore, there is an opportunity to attend a gala dinner with him.
The collection has already piqued the curiosity of people on social networks, with many sharing and commenting about it. Some comments appear to be doubtful of the collection’s veracity, saying that it looks to be like a joke, but others appear to welcome the initiative.
Although this is the first Donald Trump NFT collection, the US Former First Lady has already approached the space with various initiatives, beginning with her first NFT featuring a watercolor painting of her cobalt blue eyes and continuing with the recent launch of the American Christmas Collection, which includes six Christmas ornaments accompanied by NFTs.
