ConsenSys, the company behind MetaMask, one of the most popular crypto wallets, has announced the launch of Soulflake, a new decentralized application (dApp).
Soulflake enables users to create, mint, and send Polygon-based NFT greeting cards to family and loved ones.
Greetings cards will be super easy to create and send, as users will need to connect their wallet, insert the recipient’s address, select a card theme – Love, Gratitude, Cheers, Respect, and Success – write a message, review, and send.
People can also choose to accompany each card with a gift of $1, $10, $50, or $100 $MATIC tokens during the process.
The dApp also includes a “Soulflake community wall” that displays some of the NFT greetings cards people have already sent. As a result, others can take inspiration from them and decide to make a gift by returning one of them to the sender or to anyone else they choose.
The Soulflake dApp is free to use, and users will just have to pay the Polygon fees.
“This holiday season we thought we would build a tool to help our community cheer and connect, in a way that leverages their Web3 wallets, assets and identities,” writes ConsenSys.
Although Soulflake was created for the Christmas season, it may also be used throughout the year to express gratitude to loved ones for a variety of reasons, such as birthdays or accomplished milestones.
“We hope that many in our ecosystem will enjoy Soulflake so that this experiment can help us learn about practical applications of SBTs for community engagement and Web3 social.”
