Chiru Labs, the Web3 business behind the famed NFT projects Azuki and Beanz, has unveiled a Web3-related effort with IPX, the holding company of the popular character collection LINE Friends.
IPX specializes in IP development and commercialization, and it is capable of transforming characters into profitable businesses, as it did with its LINE characters, which began as stickers on the LINE messaging app and eventually became a worldwide renowned IP.
As a consequence, the collaboration between the two companies, which will be initially focused on Beanz NFTs and LINE Friends characters, may hint that Beanz may soon be much more than just NFTs.
The two companies intend to work on Chiru Labs’ IPs, retail distribution at LINE Friends stores, and immersive IRL activations, which might include Beanz products being sold in physical LINE Friends stores in addition to the online store.
To celebrate the partnership between IPX and Chiru Labs, LINE Friends kigu equips will be made available to Beanz holders for a limited time.
In the past, IPX has transformed the character IP industry by forming unique partnerships and collaborations with some of the world’s most recognizable businesses, like BTS, Netflix, and Starbucks.
