A London-based software company today announced the release of Clone My NFT, the world’s first NFT backup service.
The service enables users to keep an original copy of their NFTs in their wallets, even after selling the originals.
In response to a user’s intent to copy one or more of the NFTs, the system retrieves the asset’s metadata and stores a copy of it.
The NFT copy will be created using a unique contract on the blockchain, effectively cloning the original NFT.
In order to clone an NFT, users will need to pay 0.02 ETH, or about $63 (at the time of writing).
Additionally, the owner of the cloned NFT can list it on the various marketplaces and transfer it to another wallet.
With Clone My NFT, NFT artists and collectors will be able to view their artwork in their wallets long after they have sold it.
