In collaboration with artist Radarboy3000, the initiative involves the release of a series of 12 NFTs highlighting bbase’s journey into ethical design and material innovation for eyewear.
Each NFT combines data and algorithmic changes, and it evolves with each pair of sunglasses produced by bbase using materials from the bow Index, the company’s industry-first tool that delivers deeper insight into sustainable eyewear materials.
Over the course of 12 phases, the shape, movement, and look of the bb20 NFT are mirrored in a new data sculpture that people can collect and own.
Each NFT generation captures bbase’s active transition to biodegradable and recyclable fashion eyewear alternatives.
“We are moving boldly and taking a strong position in our ability to enrich the future of fashion and eyewear. The knowledge and application of Web 3.0 within the eyewear and sustainability space is something we are immersed in,” said Jo-Black, Co-Founder and CEO at bbase.
This NFT initiative will help the company’s mission, which has been led by the use of 50% certified, ethical alternatives since its inception and intends to reach 100% conversion by 2025.
