Alo Yoga, one of the world’s most technologically savvy yoga clothing brands, is bringing some of its most popular products to the virtual world.
The unisex digital wearables — created in collaboration with content studio Sawhorse Interactive — can be worn by avatars in over a thousand metaverses and social networks (such as TikTok) in 3D, AR, and VR.
A hoodie, sweatpants, and a bucket hat are among the garments included in the collection.
For the launch of the virtual line, Alo Yoga teamed with several of the leading metaverse platforms — including The Sandbox and Decentraland.
Alo Yoga has collaborated with The Sandbox to also launch a raffle in which people can enter for a chance to win the collection from March 1 to 31, 2023.
This year, Alo Yoga will also be a part of Metaverse Fashion Week — which will take place this month in Decentraland — during which the brand will offer virtual yoga and meditation sessions.
The concept of digital fashion has blossomed in the last few years; as people spend more time on the internet and use it every day for nearly any purpose, they start feeling the need to express themselves as they would in real life, or even more freely.
According to a Roblox study, this tendency is expected to grow as time passes and younger generations get the upper hand.
