Anthony Hopkins and Web3 company Orange Comet decided to continue The Eternal NFT adventure with “The Descendants” project.
The Descendants’ universe will feature 3D characters and creatures all set in a cinematic metaverse, all drawn from the DNA of the original ten archetypes featured in The Eternal NFT Collection.
The stories of the ten lineages will be told in a variety of ways and formats. Moreover, Hopkins and Orange Comet will look at ways to use these descendants in other types of media — such as graphic novels, film projects, high-end merchandise, and so on.
Only Bloodline Relic NFTs grant access to the Descendants Club and future membership. These NFTs are available for purchase on OpenSea, although they were airdropped for free to holders of at least one NFT from The Eternal Collection in January.
The Eternal NFT collection was revealed in August of last year and sold out seven minutes after its October release, making it the fastest-selling collection in OpenSea history.
A few days ago, as part of the utility promised to holders, 100 one-of-a-kind edition NFTs — containing an inspiring and thankful message recorded by Anthony Hopkins — were airdropped to The Eternal NFT holders after being presented at NFT Paris.
Although these are Hopkins’ first Web3 ventures, Orange Comet has been involved in the launch of several successful NFT initiatives, including the release of The Walking Dead NFT collection and the collaboration with AMC to bring Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire into Web3.
