Leading American convenience store chain, 7-Eleven, is making waves in the metaverse by collaborating with Fortnite. The collaboration brings forth an innovative car-themed game and a scavenger hunt spanning three Fortnite maps.
To engage players, the hunt game will provide hints shared via the company’s Instagram profile. These hints will guide players in their quest to locate each of the three 7-Eleven-inspired cars. Notably, each car will hold a piece of a map code, and upon collecting codes from all three cars, a special map will be unlocked. This map is set to host the final virtual car meetup on “There Car” Island.
The virtual “There Car” Island will grant players the chance to immerse themselves in a virtual 7-Eleven store and gas station. As players traverse the island, they’ll be able to spot hidden surprises and Easter eggs.
7-Eleven has continually embraced the passion for car culture among its customer base. The brand has celebrated this passion by reposting customer car selfies, affectionately referred to as ‘carfies’, on its Instagram platform. Furthermore, 7-Eleven has curated an array of car-inspired merchandise and even introduced its very own Model 711 set of wheels.
This innovative experience not only reinforces 7-Eleven’s connection with car enthusiasts but also extends its appeal to wider audiences and new generations.
This isn’t 7-Eleven’s inaugural foray into the Web3 realm. In a groundbreaking move last July, the company commemorated its 96th anniversary with the release of an exclusive non-fungible token (NFT), showcasing its ongoing commitment to cutting-edge initiatives.
