Cameo, a video app that lets people purchase personalized video messages from celebrities and online influencers, is entering the NFT space.
The company has released its “Cameo Pass” NFT collection, which is composed of Ethereum-based NFTs that work like tickets to gain access to exclusive experiences.
More specifically, Cameo Pass NFT holders will have access to upcoming live and online events, including parties at the Cameo House in Beverly Hills, meet-and-greet opportunities, and online Q&A sessions with celebrities.
Artists behind these NFTs are Burnt Toast, who’s the artist behind Doodles, Vinnie Hager, who’s the designer of Letters, and Luke McGarry, an illustrator who has done work for Google, Universal, and the New Yorker.
On February 17, the NFTs will be released on the official website, with OpenSea as a secondary marketplace. The Cameo Pass will sell for 0.2 ETH ($569 at the time of writing) and serve as an access pass to Cameo’s new membership club.
Cameo will reinvest some of the proceeds from the NFT sale into future Web3 efforts and explorations.
