Relics, a music-focused NFT startup, has joined forces with renowned DJ and Web3 advocate Steve Aoki to push the boundaries of music in the Web3 space.
Their partnership aims to introduce “Idol III,” a virtual jukebox presented as a non-fungible token (NFT) minted on the Ethereum blockchain.
The virtual jukebox, personally custom-designed by the iconic musician himself, embeds a mix from Aoki’s esteemed Dim Mak Records label. When collectors mint The Idol III, they will discover one of three distinct music player styles, each with its own limited edition count.
Holders of this NFT will have the opportunity to utilize it across various metaverse platforms, including Decentraland, which stands as one of the leading metaverse platforms currently available.
The minting process for Idol III was divided into three distinct phases: Phase I catered to Relics and a0k1verse holders (0.06 ETH), Phase II targeted Music NFT holders (0.08 ETH), and Phase III was reserved for GENESIS IDOL holders (0.03 ETH), with the latest phase ending today.
This release builds upon the success of Relics’ previous ventures, such as the Genesis Idol and the Idol II, the latter of which was a collaboration with video game concept artist Raf Grassetti, recognized for his work as art director on the acclaimed God of War series.
