Spotify continues to refine its Web3-related features for its platform. This time, the digital music streaming service app has partnered with Moonbirds, a collection of 10,000 NFTs launched in 2022, to test its NFT-gated feature.
As part of the initiative, they have released a playlist called “Sounds of a Digital Renaissance,” which only Moonbirds holders can access. The playlist features popular songs from various artists like Tame Impala and Diplo.
Moonbirds holders in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and Azerbaijan can access the playlist link, connect their wallets, and listen to it.
The collaboration with Moonbirds marks another milestone in Spotify’s pilot tests for its Web3-related features. In February, the streaming platform partnered with KINGSHIP, a virtual band formed by 10:22 PM, Universal Music Group’s next-generation Web3 label, to launch its first token-enabled playlist.
Spotify’s foray into Web3 was initially announced in 2022 when the company began recruiting experts in this emerging field. The partnership with Moonbirds represents a continued commitment by Spotify to explore and refine its Web3 offerings, ensuring an immersive and innovative music experience for its users.
