Solana-based marketplace Magic Eden has joined forces with Qorpo World game studio’s shooter game, Citizen Conflict, to unveil an exclusive series of non-fungible token (NFT) playable characters.
The series, dubbed “ZODIAC ‘Magic Angel,'” comprises 2,222 NFTs featuring the game’s central character, Zodiac, colored in Magic Eden’s palette.
The collection offers three variants for each NFT — the common yellow “Sunfire,” the rare red “Ember Surge,” and the Epic Pink “Magic Angel.”
These NFT characters can be used in the game, and buyers will receive additional perks, including access to all Citizen Conflict Alpha releases, participation in exclusive gateway events, and the chance to become early QORPO holders.
Priced at 39 MATIC (approximately $37 each), these NFTs will be available for purchase on Magic Eden starting November 14.
Citizen Conflict, announced in 2022, is a hero-based shooter game on the BNB Smart Chain, aiming to revolutionize the first-person shooter Esports sector.
Set in 2101, the game depicts a world where compassion and ethics are scarce, replaced by greed and recklessness. Three syndicates and compelling heroes battle for dominance in the Ether Islands amid crises in technology, AI, and climate change.
Magic Eden has consistently advocated for games utilizing Web3 technologies. In March, the platform introduced “Magic Eden Games,” a hub for Web3 game developers to engage their player bases and communities.
This strategic move aligns with the expected future of the Web3 gaming industry. Projections suggest the market will reach $23,926 million by the end of 2023, with expectations to exceed $133,228 million by 2033, exhibiting a CAGR of 18.7% during the forecast period.
The shift towards Web3 gaming over traditional Web2 is driven by factors such as decentralization, play-to-earn economy, cross-platform support, and community-driven development.
