Swedish House Mafia, the renowned Swedish house music supergroup, has embraced the digital frontier, venturing into the metaverse.
Dubbed “DJs World: Swedish House Mafia,” this virtual space finds its home on the Roblox metaverse platform, serving as the venue for their upcoming virtual concerts.
In addition to the musical performances, visitors can engage in various activities within the metaverse space, including inspired mini-games, digital collectible fashion items, and a scavenger hunt.
On December 1st at 6 pm EST, the virtual space will feature a live performance by the band, with replays scheduled every hour throughout the weekend until December 3.
Fans can also engage in missions during the show, like collecting digital hearts to unlock badges.
Established in 2008, Swedish House Mafia gained widespread recognition, securing the tenth spot on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll 2011 only three years after their formation. They’ve been hailed as “the faces of mainstream progressive house music,” and their Spotify channel now boasts over 22.9 million monthly listeners.
This move into the metaverse aligns with a growing trend in the music industry. In July, the pop rock band Imagine Dragons also ventured into the metaverse on Roblox, offering fans a captivating experience leading up to the release of their documentary.
