Renowned fashion brand Diesel has taken another stride in its ongoing Metamorph Web3 project by introducing a collection of NFT-powered timepieces.
The new collection, named “Vert,” showcases a series of watches designed using cutting-edge VR technology by Diesel’s creative director, Glenn Martens.
The Vert collection boasts five unique styles, encompassing silver-tone, gold-tone, black, and two exclusive limited-edition pieces, one featuring a silver-tone case and bracelet paired with contrasting leather in black, and the other in white.
Customers who purchase one of the Vert timepieces will receive one of the 300 available NFTs and gain entry into the Diesel virtual world, Metamorph, an immersive and multifaceted gaming experience.
Metamorph takes inspiration from the design elements of the Vert collection and offers an expansive virtual landscape where participants navigate through various challenges using their personalized A:VERT:AR (avatar) NFTs. Their mission is to reactivate time within a fictional realm where time has ceased to flow.
The NFTs undergo a transformative process across three distinct stages leading up to the launch of the Metamorph virtual experience. This process enables users to mint their evolving avatar NFT, which they can securely store in their digital wallets as it continues to develop over time.
The worldwide release of the Vert timepiece collection will be available starting today, October 3, on the Diesel website and select retail locations. Meanwhile, the Metamorph experience is set to debut on November 2, 2023.
This recent announcement follows Diesel’s unveiling of its Metamorph Web3 project last month, which included the release of a series of 300 animated digital collectibles, which sold out in less than 24 hours from release. These collectibles featured music by Senjan Jansen and artwork by Artificial Rome.
