Dain Leaders, a prominent EduTech provider, has revealed the introduction of a metaverse platform aimed at transforming the landscape of education.
Named “Meta Campus,” the platform is designed to deliver virtual learning experiences, enhancing accessibility, flexibility, and incorporating technological advancements into education.
Universities and educational entities can use the platform to convert their physical campuses into virtual spaces, broadening the reach of their educational programs globally.
The platform employs text, voice, and video chat for communication within the virtual space, accompanied by a sharing feature facilitating the exchange of lecture materials like PPTs and PDFs.
The platform also introduces an L2E (learn-to-earn) function, allowing users to earn rewards based on their engagement in producing, sharing, and learning knowledge content in the metaverse.
Organizations and users can select from various virtual items and place templates provided by Dain Leaders, designed for different purposes such as lectures and meetings, to create their virtual spaces. The library also enables creators to search for and use user-created content.
The education sector has been quick to explore the potential of the virtual world to enhance learning experiences, transcending constraints like time and location.
In November 2023, Coventry University reestablished its Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) Institute in the metaverse, facilitating global engagement and digital interactions. The University of Salford joined the metaverse a month earlier in October, introducing a virtual MediaCity campus where students and faculty members can interact and create virtual spaces for education and creativity.
