CryptoPunks, the renowned non-fungible token (NFT) collection acquired by Yuga Labs, is venturing beyond the digital realm to offer its iconic artworks as tangible fine art prints.
This expansion is the result of a recent partnership with Avant Arte, a creative marketplace focused on simplifying the exploration and ownership of art.
In this collaborative effort, CryptoPunks owners worldwide will be granted a unique 48-hour window to turn their NFT holdings into exclusive 1-of-1 art prints featuring multi-layered UV pigment technology.
Each art print will incorporate a QR code, allowing owners to verify its authenticity in connection with their corresponding NFT.
Starting on Thursday, October 26, at 4 pm CEST, CryptoPunks NFT holders will have the opportunity to access the Avant Arte website, connect their wallet, and print their chosen CryptoPunk NFT artwork.
The printing service will be priced at 0.39 ETH, approximately equivalent to $635. For an additional cost of roughly $290, purchasers can opt to include a white frame for their art prints.
CryptoPunks, initially launched in 2017, consists of 10,000 unique “punks” presented as 24×24-pixel images on the Ethereum blockchain. Originally conceived by the Larva Labs studio, the project came under the ownership of Yuga Labs in 2022.
Since its inception, CryptoPunks has amassed significant popularity and is now ranked among the top five NFT collections in terms of all-time sales volume, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
The collaboration with Avant Arte marks another instance where CryptoPunks NFTs have ventured into the physical world. In August 2022, Tiffany & Co introduced “NFTiff,” a collection of 250 NFT passes that could be minted and redeemed by CryptoPunks holders, resulting in the creation of custom-designed pendants and NFT digital artworks.
